Youth in Parliament Forum Partnership

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships for the advancement of youth-inclusive governance, the Youth Quota in Parliament advocacy team paid a strategic working visit to the Youth in Parliament Forum in Abuja.
The meeting culminated in a formal partnership between both organisations, founded on a shared commitment to increasing youth participation in legislative leadership and democratic decision-making. During the engagement, the advocacy team presented the objectives and key provisions of the Youth Quota in Parliament Bill, while both organisations explored areas of collaboration to accelerate the campaign for its passage.
In a symbolic demonstration of solidarity and support, the Youth in Parliament Forum officially presented its organisational flag to the Youth Quota in Parliament advocacy team, encouraging the movement to “keep the fire burning” in the pursuit of constitutional reforms that will guarantee greater youth representation in Parliament.
The leadership of the Youth in Parliament Forum pledged to actively support the campaign and integrate the Youth Quota in Parliament Bill into its Take Action Campaign, using its advocacy platforms and nationwide networks to mobilise public awareness, engage stakeholders, and encourage legislative support for the proposed constitutional amendment.
The partnership represents an important milestone in building a broad-based coalition of youth-led organisations committed to advancing inclusive governance and ensuring that young Nigerians have a stronger voice in shaping the nation’s future through meaningful representation in Parliament.
